The era of artificial intelligence in e-commerce

Enes Dur, Founder of Supsis AI, discussed the use cases and advantages of artificial intelligence in the e-commerce sector.

Dur stated the following:

E-commerce is one of the sectors where artificial intelligence is most actively utilized, primarily because competition in the field is fierce. The business that responds first wins the customer. Artificial intelligence enables this to happen instantly, 24/7, regardless of the time of day or night. As you know, we live in a truly globalized world; we can make sales and reach customers anywhere on the globe instantly. Countries operate in different time zones. When a customer arrives while we are asleep, AI can easily “wake up” and handle the entire conversation in the customer’s own language. This offers a significant advantage. However, it would be inaccurate to summarize AI in such simple terms; it is not merely a system for providing conversational responses to customers. You can do much more with AI. For instance, consider your inventory: you can analyze how much stock was utilized last year and project usage for the coming year. Furthermore, you can use AI and automation systems to manage the insights derived from these analyses. For example, a dealer could pressure a supplier by saying, “I’ll go pick up this product myself,” or you could update price quotes via email, WhatsApp, or any other platform. Your team size is inevitably limited; there are human constraints. To overcome these limits, you need to use artificial intelligence. AI is fully capable of managing all your processes—completely autonomously, without any human intervention. As I mentioned, the training process is also very straightforward; for instance, if you have a product in e-commerce, you simply need to provide the product description and details—explaining what the product does. You will now be able to answer any question that might arise regarding that product. Why? As I mentioned, artificial intelligence has surpassed even the most experienced human professionals in this regard. In the current landscape, simply by providing information about your product, AI can handle all inquiries and management tasks. There is no stopping the advancement of artificial intelligence. Furthermore, consider this: AI can act as a manager within your team, handling personnel administration. After all, you are running an e-commerce business—involving shipping, customers, inventory, and customer satisfaction—and AI is capable of managing all of these aspects. And what else do you have? Competitors. Who will analyze them? AI can handle that competitive analysis as well. It can monitor the latest products and prices of your competitors on a daily basis, generate insights and statistics, and even determine the optimal selling price for your products. It can also make decisions regarding inventory management—such as which products to stock and in what quantities—optimizing your stock levels accordingly.
