“AI is growing very rapidly. This is a very important point because we say it’s growing very fast every year, every month. I know this from my own experience. In interviews I gave three years ago, I always said that AI would surpass human intelligence within 10 years. Then, two years ago, I started saying it would be within five or three years. Now, for the last few months, I’ve had to revise myself to say it will be within a few years. We call this exponential growth. The speed of AI is enormous, unbelievable, because it’s a self-sustaining technology that can multiply as it grows. Of course, we all know ChatGPT. My personal opinion is that with ChatGPT in November 2022, AI entered a completely different world. It’s growing at a pace that behaves like a human, improves itself, and teaches itself. But the biggest problem facing AI right now is investment. We’re no longer talking about millions of dollars or hundreds of millions of dollars.” A serious investment of $1 billion, $10 billion, and multiples thereof is needed. R&D work needs to be done. And generally, 80% to 90% of R&D work ends in failure. We call this “fail and success.” And that’s how it should be. Currently, America and China are leading the way in this area because they are making incredible investments. They are experimenting, learning, and improving themselves. And we see that many countries haven’t been able to keep up with this pace. Therefore, the most important problem at the beginning of artificial intelligence is the need for very serious server investments, very serious financial investments, to provide the necessary energy, capacity, infrastructure, and hardware. Secondly, and I could have said this first, but I deliberately left it for second place, there is human resistance. The word “resistance” sounds very interesting here. I’m using it deliberately, but let me make it more polite as “resistance.” Because there are many doubts about artificial intelligence replacing humans. This is true to a certain extent. We need to prepare for this as well. Because artificial intelligence will automate many things and help humans, in my personal opinion, will it threaten the job market? Yes. Will it be a serious threat? Yes. But we can prepare for it. I can confidently say that artificial intelligence will replace humans, especially at the beginner and intermediate experience levels. This is the second major challenge we face.
