What is Unified Threat Intelligence?

Kerem Conker stated the following:
Unified Threat Intelligence involves the simultaneous delivery of attack surface management, digital risk protection, and cyber threat intelligence platforms. These three modules can be provided to companies as a unified solution or, alternatively, in a modular structure. However, they operate more effectively when integrated, as the alerts, solution recommendations, and notifications provided to organizational staff are coordinated. Through this unified approach, we enable companies to manage everything on a single platform: receiving alerts, calculating risk scores for digital assets, and gaining visibility into trends and potential attacks within the cyber threat landscape—including international arenas and other external channels. This allows companies to take proactive measures by effectively utilizing all three modules. If only the ASM (Attack Surface Management) module is deployed, the company’s external digital assets are discovered and associated vulnerabilities are identified; however, these assets are not scanned within the Deep Web or Dark Web. That specific scanning function belongs to the DRP (Digital Risk Protection) module. Consequently, the system would fail to monitor for potential data leaks involving those digital assets across other online channels. Conversely, if the DRP and CTI modules are present but the ASM module is missing, digital assets are still scanned and identified, but risk scoring at the individual asset level may not be performed. Furthermore, since we continuously detect vulnerabilities at the network layer within the broader cybersecurity framework, the absence of the ASM module could result in a failure to issue alerts for certain web-based vulnerabilities. Therefore, to ensure the three modules operate more effectively, we recommend offering the ASM, DRP, and CTI modules together.
