With Zero Trust, we adopt the principle of “Never trust, always verify.”

Mehmet Ufuk Dokuzluoğlu, CIO of Zeren Group Holding, explained how security approaches have evolved alongside the changing work models that emerged after the pandemic:

“With the onset of the pandemic, organizations across the board adopted work-from-home models. As the pandemic subsided, the intensity of physical office work began to rise again. However, organizations that have maintained this model—whether hybrid or fully remote—face significant threats, as employees are naturally working outside the corporate network.

Consequently, our fundamental task as technology leaders is to fully secure our corporate hardware and technology equipment, and to protect our users from such attacks. This is precisely where the ‘Zero Trust’ concept originated. To protect all users—whether on a Wide Area Network (WAN) or a Local Area Network (LAN)—against these threats, we must instill a core motto in our employees: ‘Never trust, always verify.’

To achieve this, we need end-to-end visibility and monitoring of our hardware. By ‘monitoring,’ I mean securing devices against attacks and integrating them with emerging technologies to manage all client data—be it on mobile phones or laptops—under a unified policy. We must ensure complete protection without disrupting the employee’s workflow or causing inconvenience.

As Zeren Group, we have already begun making these investments. We are implementing every available defense mechanism to shield our employees from such attacks and threats. Of course, we are well aware that 100% security does not exist. Our goal is to deploy robust defense tools to neutralize attacks as effectively as possible and strengthen our defensive perimeter.”
