What are the new rules of security in the age of artificial intelligence?

Emre Çamalan, İşNet Security Management Manager, spoke about the new rules of security in the age of artificial intelligence. Çamalan stated:

“The past 20 years have taught us very important lessons. Everything will speed up at certain points, but after a while, it will lose its importance, become obsolete, or even be insufficient on its own. For example, passwords. Initially, we saw that even increasing them from 6 to 20 characters would no longer be enough, and with the arrival of artificial intelligence, we’ve realized that passwords can no longer be secure. Unless we strengthen them with host quantum cryptography, any password can be cracked. This is the first point. In all systems, we know that every system must change over time and thus determine new methods and styles. We say that the paradigms we’ve passed should now lead us to a new perspective. We must have new paradigms. In terms of passwords and identity management, we must understand that even the ‘segmentations’ that we consider secure within internal systems will become insecure.” We must acknowledge that nothing will be the same as before, with artificial intelligence being used as widely as possible across all systems, not just at a single point. We must work towards this goal and benefit from it. The question is, how are these things evolving with innovation? It used to be this way, but now we want to integrate AI into every aspect because we can’t consider it secure without it. And it’s not just about passwords, identity management, or internal systems; we’re now proactively changing direction even before reaching that point. We believe we must have this perspective, these new paradigms, and that’s how we’re working.
