Bistro 33 & ATP: A Digital Success Story in Gastronomy

Erhan Özben from Bistro 33 spoke about Bistro 33’s digital success story in gastronomy, with contributions from ATP. Özben said the following:

It’s an establishment that offers “nonstop” service, starting with breakfast and continuing with lunch, dinner, music, and a café. Open 365 days a year.

The need to streamline the process of getting the food from preparation to the table had actually made sense to us. Because when we searched online for companies that made robots, ATP was the first one that came up.

We went through a process of creating a demo of the robot to determine together how it would make our work easier. We spent about 3 months on the demo. It took the empty plates left after guests, carried them to the elevator, and filled a significant gap in our “runner” service area. It made our job easier there. We defined task points. Based on the staff’s needs, the staff can call the robot to their side, collect the empty plates from the tables, send them to the elevator area, and the staff member in the “background” or “runner” area collects the empty plates, puts them in the elevator, and then returns them to the other empty area. The robot is currently responding quickly to our needs in terms of tidying up the tables, quickly turning the tables, quickly taking empty plates from the serving tray, and eliminating the clutter of dishes. We are comfortable with these aspects and are using it effectively. The robot seems to be positively received by the guests. We haven’t received any negative feedback. When there’s no waiter or waitress available, the robot helps with clearing the tables, increasing service speed, quickly cleaning and preparing the table, and quickly seating the next guest. I think the robot makes the waiter’s job easier thanks to the robot. I think the trend is extremely promising. People can easily communicate and understand the logic behind this technology, whether it’s cars or autonomous driving, using their mobile phones. Businesses that have built their kitchens and everything else on a single floor with stable ground can all achieve very high efficiency from robots.

The Role of Robots in Restaurant Businesses

Today, technology plays a significant role in many sectors, including restaurant management. The use of robots, in particular, makes restaurant operational processes more efficient and increases customer satisfaction. This article will discuss the advantages of using robots in restaurants and the contributions they provide to businesses.

Operational Efficiency

The use of robots in restaurants provides great convenience in operational processes such as quickly clearing tables and accelerating service. Robots quickly collect empty items from tables, eliminating the appearance of dishes and reducing the workload of service staff.

Staff and Robot Collaboration

Robots can work in harmony with restaurant staff, moving according to their assigned tasks. Staff can call the robot to collect bills from tables and send it to the elevator. This reduces the workload for staff while increasing service speed.

Customer Satisfaction

The use of robots is generally viewed positively by customers. In restaurants, using robots increases service speed, improves customer satisfaction, and prevents negative feedback.

Adapting to Technology

People today adapt to technology very quickly. Having become accustomed to technologies like autonomous vehicles and mobile phones, people readily embrace the use of robots in restaurants. This necessitates that restaurants be open to technological advancements.

Suggestions for Other Businesses

Restaurant businesses can make their operational processes more effective by taking advantage of the efficiency provided by robots. Businesses that operate on flat surfaces and have ensured ground stabilization can particularly benefit from high efficiency from robots.

Conclusion

The use of robots in restaurant businesses increases operational efficiency and improves customer satisfaction. Through collaboration between staff and robots, service speed increases and businesses are managed more effectively. Businesses that adapt to technology can gain a competitive advantage by taking advantage of the benefits offered by robots. Therefore, the use of robots in restaurant management seems likely to become even more widespread in the future.
