Why Do Companies Use BPM Platforms Merely as a Digital Form Infrastructure?

Cem Kütük, Strategic Sales and Channel Architect at CK, spoke about why companies use BPM platforms merely as a digital form infrastructure. Kütük said the following:

Unfortunately, there are far too many companies that cannot manage their processes even though they use BPM. This is because many companies use BPM not as a process management platform, but merely as a digital form infrastructure. In reality, true BPM manages workflows, controls approval mechanisms, and identifies operational bottlenecks. It provides metrics, ensures traceability, and strengthens the company’s operational discipline. If employees are still operating outside of processes, approvals are being obtained over the phone, and managers are only learning about processes after the fact, then BPM may be in place, but there is no process management. Technology alone is not the solution. Without the right process design, even the most powerful BPM platform remains nothing more than digital paperwork.
