Hakan Türköner, IT Security and Governance Director at Boyner Department Stores, spoke about how data agents increase new customer acquisition in digital transformation. Türköner stated:
“Digital transformation is actually one of the main areas under my responsibility. Besides security issues, we are undertaking very important projects in digital transformation and governance at Boyner. One of our latest projects, in fact, was a data agent developed with artificial intelligence that would both increase new customer acquisition and improve our operational data. With this data, we can now work collaboratively with all business units in the company to determine what our customers need – which store has which product, what the main products sold in that store are, which products have sold less, and how to reach the customer. This allows us to quickly identify and answer questions in real-time, based on needs.” With this application, we’ve essentially transformed it into a data agent, bringing together all the data except for location, including factors like acquiring new customers, determining which products are selling and which aren’t, and influencing factors like weather conditions. The goal of this data agent is to increase both new customer acquisition and Boyner’s turnover, while also optimizing operational efficiency—from the warehouse to the stores—by bringing all processes to the “optimum” level.
